In this chapter, we have been introduced to the VMware Horizon View Security Server, a feature of View that provides organizations with the ability to provide secure remote access to View desktops. We have learned what is required to deploy and configure a View Security Server, what the limits of a Security Server are, and where the Security Server fits in within the View infrastructure.
We also discussed what components of the Security Server need to be backed up, which are custom SSL certificates as well as the Security Server logs.
We concluded this chapter by discussing how to restore a View Security Server.
In the next chapter, we will discuss VMware ThinApp, a software package included with View that enables the virtualization of desktop applications into single executable files that are isolated from one another, can be deployed within View, and can be easily updated.
