Advanced Persona Management options


The Persona Management ViewPM.adm Group Policy template contains settings that are broken down into the following four categories:

  • Roaming & Synchronization

  • Folder Redirection

  • Desktop UI

  • Logging

The purpose and usage of these settings will be explained in this section.

Roaming and Synchronization

The Roaming & Synchronization policies are the key policies used to enable and configure View Persona Management. Unless otherwise indicated, all settings are disabled or blank by default.

  • Manage user persona: This enables View Persona Management to manage user profiles. This setting must be enabled to use Persona Management.

    • Profile upload interval: A subsetting of the Manage user persona setting. This setting is measured in minutes and determines how often changes to the profile are uploaded to the Persona Management repository. The default value is 10; acceptable values range from 1 to 9999.
