Configuration Manager contains a method to allow the simple control of your Windows Firewall settings. By simple, we mean having the ability to perform the following configuration:
Control if the firewall is on or off
Control if incoming connections are blocked
Control if users are notified when a program is blocked
If you want to control the rules on the firewall, then this configuration still needs to be done in group policy rather than Configuration Manager as this configuration is not currently possible.
What this configuration does allow is the ability to control the Windows Firewall on nondomain-joined resources.
