This recipe will cover how to restore a SQL database to its original location. This is one of the most common scenarios that a DPM administrator must be able to perform.
This restore operation is the most common and the easiest to perform. There are some options that you should consider regarding the restore process, and they are explained in this recipe.
Open the DPM console and click on Recovery. Browse the tree on the left-hand side of the console and click on the SQL database that you want to restore. Choose the date and the recovery point time for restore. Right-click on the database and click on Recover… to start Recovery Wizard.
In the Review Recovery Selection step, verify that you have chosen the right database and click on Next > to continue.
