Restoring a SharePoint farm


This recipe will cover the information that you need to understand the prerequisites for a supported SharePoint server recovery scenario.

Getting ready

Before you start the recovery, you should always verify that the targeted data source is accessible and that the DPM agent is reporting OK in the DPM console.

How to do it...

  1. In the DPM console, go to Recovery and choose the SharePoint farm you would like to recover.

    Note

    For File, Exchange, and SharePoint, you can use the Search function.

  2. Mark the SharePoint farm and choose the date and time for the recovery. Right-click on the data source and choose Recover… to start the Recovery Wizard:

  3. In the Review Recovery Selection step, review the data source that is chosen for recovery and click on Next > to continue:

  4. In the Specify Recovery Options step, you configure the specific options for the recovery.
