You will learn how to plan for high availability, what kind of roles there are, and how they scale. The book starts by examining what needs to be taken into account when planning for high availability before moving on to focus on the different roles and how they can be set up. The book will also go through different scenarios as well as various backup and recovery procedures. You will learn how to identify bottlenecks within the different components and create sample design scenarios for high availability on Configuration Manager. Summary

Now we have looked through many of the different components that need to be taken backup of. We looked into the specific Configuration Manager components that we can take backup of and how we can restore them.

As I mentioned before, it is important to remember that high availability is not an alternative to backup. Even if you implement high availability, you should always have a backup in place.

In the next chapter, we will take a look at how we can fine tune the performance of different components within Configuration Manager because it uses a lot of different roles within Windows Server that can be adjusted for better use.
