Creating Azure networks


The Microsoft Azure Management Portal allows you to create several components that are required for on-site connectivity with Microsoft Azure and for more control over intra-virtual machines networking traffic of Azure virtual machines.

The networks menu consists of the following components:

  • Virtual networks: This allows creation of IP subnets, site-to-site (S2S) VPN connections, and point-to-site (P2S) VPN connections

  • Local networks: This allows configuration of the public facing IP address of the on-site VPN device for P2S and S2S connections

  • DNS servers: This allows registration of non-Microsoft managed DNS servers
