Profile management has been a challenge for IT for quite a while and even though there are several robust solutions on the market that facilitate administration, user profiles have remained somewhat complex, prone to data corruption, and are a major cause for delays in user login times to physical and virtual desktops alike. To tackle these challenges, Citrix has bundled into the XenApp product a free profile solution called Citrix Profile Management, also known as User Profile Management (UPM).
