Configuring the NetScaler Gateway VPX™


Now that we have installed the NetScaler Gateway virtual (VPX) appliance onto the hypervisor and connected it to the network, we can leverage the management GUI to configure licensing, modes, features, and virtual servers to integrate and provide access to the XenApp environment.

Licensing your NetScaler® appliance

Like any other Citrix product, you need to license NetScaler to take advantage of its functionalities. For free trial and Proof of Concept, Citrix offers an Express edition, which you can download for free for a specified period of time to test the full set of features available with a NetScaler Platinum license. In this scenario, we demonstrate the allocation and import of license files. Specific licenses are required to unlock certain features, such as SmartAccess and the SSL VPN, which are not required for the solutions in this book.
