Connecting the applications via a connection group


With both the JDK and Greenfoot packages created, we can now add them to the App-V management console and create a connection group. This recipe will show you how to create the connection group.

Getting ready

To complete these steps, you will need administrative access to the App-V management console. Add the user Maddy Alans to the Greenfoot users active directory security group. In addition to this, using the recipes in Chapter 4, Managing Packages, publish both the JDK and Greenfoot packages to the Greenfoot Users Active Directory Security Group.

The following list shows you the high-level steps involved in this recipe and the tasks required to complete the recipe (all of the actions in this recipe will take place on a domain-joined Windows 8.1 computer):

  • Log in as Sam Adams and create the App-V connection group.
