Introduction

The three most common uses for CM are patching, software distribution, and OS deployment. This chapter will cover software distribution as well as the software update management methods.

CM can still make use of Packages/Programs andApplications/Deployment Typeslike previous versions. Packages/Programsfunction stays same,  Applications/Deployment Types function has a few minor changes and extensions. Software updates have received a tune-up in CM - you create an upgrades deployment plan for Windows 10, and can WSUS clean up the task from CM console.
