This recipe discusses the steps required to create a rich text formatted e-mail template.
This procedure requires you to have a copy on Microsoft Word 2007 or above installed. You must be in the SCSM Administrator role and have the SCSM console open.
We will use an incident notification as an example. We will create a template for sending the affected user the following incident details:
The ID of the Incident
Affected users name
Title
Description
Status
Priority

Create a new Word document and design the format of your notification e-mail with the details of the properties to be sent, using new lines to separate each property:
Save the file as a Web Page, Filtered (*.htm, *.html) file:
Navigate to the file location. Open the file with Notepad and copy the text.
