Azure SQL data warehouse

Azure SQL is a highly scalable, durable, performance centric, highly available service for transactional data. This has traditionally been called Online Transaction Processing (OLTP) applications. There is another set of applications popularly known as the Online Analytics Processing (OLAP). Typically, OLAP applications are based on a data warehouse that stores massive amounts of data in a format readily consumable by analytics engine as the SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS).
