Out of the box, Service-Now provides data lookup and assignment rules to automatically assign a task to users or groups.
To step through this recipe, you should have an active Service-Now instance, valid credentials, and an admin role.
- Open any standard web browser.
- Log in to the Service-Now instance with the credentials.
- Type
system policyin the search box and service-now will search system policy application, and under the rule section you can find all related module such asData lookup Definitions,Assignment Lookup Rules,Assignment, and so on:

- To assign values in the assigned to or assignment group fields, you can use assignment look up:
