Summary

Wow! We've gone through so much in this chapter.

You should now have a firm grasp of the basics that go into great visualizations. We've gone through DOM manipulation and looked at SVG in great detail, everything from drawing shapes manually to path generators. Finally we looked at CSS as a better alternative for making things pretty.

Everything we look at from now on is going to build on these basics, but you now have the tools to draw anything you can think of. The rest of this book just shows you more elegant ways of doing it.
