Time for action – creating a voucher


Follow this quick tutorial to create a voucher:

  1. Hover on Price Rules and click on Cart Rules.

  2. Now click on Add new and you will see the voucher creation screen. A screenshot followed by a table of what to put where follows:

    Explanation

    Name

    The name that you want to give to your Voucher, it will be like an identification.

    Description

    This field is just for you. But it is a good practice to add some information for the future reference to know what you did.

    Code

    This is the code that must be entered at the checkout by the customer in order to get the discount.

    It is worth giving meaningful names to your vouchers so that you can track their usage and success using PrestaShop statistics features.

    But not too long because that makes it awkward for your customers to use.

    Perhaps JAN20% or AMMO5%. You get the idea.

    PrestaShop can also auto generate a random code if you like.
