Enhancing customer experience at checkout in Drupal Commerce with Ajax


As you've seen, Drupal Commerce is a great platform to start your e-commerce business with, but, as with any website, there are always things that you can do to enhance your store.

One of the more subtle enhancements you can make is with Ajax is that it allows customers to see their interactions (such as adding a product to the cart) happen without the entire web page having to reload.

Getting started

You will need to install the Commerce Cart Ajax module, which you can find at http://drupal.org/project/dc_cart_Ajax.

Log in to your Drupal Commerce store's administration panel.

How to do it...

Once you've installed the Commerce Cart Ajax module, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Site settings | Views.

  2. In the list of Views that appear, locate the Shopping cart form view, and click on the Edit option to the right:
