The block templates we've created were always in the top-level directory /blocks
. This works fine for your personal site, but if you want to distribute your theme or block templates, you might want to wrap these templates in a package. Just like themes, blocks, and jobs, you can also put a simple block template in a package. This is mandatory if you want to publish it in the concrete5 marketplace; and it could also help you to manage your own add-ons, as you know that they have to be installed in the /packages
directory.
If you've already built a package, you simply have to move your templates into that directory and as soon as you install the package, they are available to be used.
For example: If you have a template called new_template.php
in /blocks/content/templates/
, move that file to /packages/your-package/blocks/content/templates
and your template is nicely packed, ready for the marketplace.
