In the last chapter, we learned about the importance of using pages to reduce both application load times and memory usage. We also started thinking about our application's layout and its use of the available screen real estate. These logically lead us to the topic of navigating around within the application. Now that we've segmented our application into pages of similar concerns, how do we move about these pages to form a smooth flowing application? In this chapter, we will discuss application navigation and the navigation components available to us. We'll start with the navigation call, layers, and page containers. We'll continue to review all the components available to us, from simple notifications such as alerts, confirms, toast, to simple dialogs and page dialogs.
