Showing a color picker on a form

concrete5 provides helpers to generate standard HTML form elements, but what about applications that need to allow users to pick a color? For those applications, concrete5 includes a color picker helper as well!

Getting ready

The color picker relies on jQuery UI, which isn't automatically included in concrete5, unless you are logged in as an administrator. Be sure to include jQuery UI's JavaScript and CSS files on the page if you use the color picker on the frontend of the site.

How to do it...

If it doesn't already exist, create a single page at /single_pages/example_form.php.
Install this single page on the dashboard if need be.
Load the color picker helper at the top of the file:

$color = Loader::helper('form/color');
```

Output the color picker widget in an HTML form element:
