Animating the window with scrollTop()

In the previous chapter, we learned how to use scrollTop() to make the background image of our <body> element animate on the page in different directions and speeds. In the next example, we're going to use scrollTop() to animate the window by smoothly scrolling to an element on the page.

The smooth scrolling animation method can be used to visually indicate to our users that the position of our window has changed based on an action they take on the page, generally following a mouse click of an element. This animation method is often used exactly as we're going to build it and is referred to as a one pager.
