Mission briefing


My introduction into 3D graphics came from developing educational video games. Upon learning the math algorithms used in moving objects and calculating lights, I knew 3D graphics would be a great educational tool. Few things engage students more and can be fun, whimsical, creative, and educational. The demonstrations focus on selecting atomic elements from the periodic chart where each item is a square, followed by countries from a map where the borders are irregular. The final example involves a mathematical demonstration of different algorithms for rotations. Thus, we shall use 3D graphics to learn math used in 3D graphics.

Why is it awesome?

Interactive 3D graphics offers such great opportunities to broaden education. It can be used to immerse oneself into environments to learn foreign languages, or go back into history to learn about cultures and world events.
