Creating a RoR app with Foundation 6

How to do it...

Learn how to create a RoR app with Foundation 6 yourself:

  1. Create a new Rails app by running the following command in your console:

    rails new recipe7
    
  2. Run, as already described in the Hello world with Ruby on Rails recipe, the controller generator and tell it that you want a controller called welcome with an action called index, as follows:

    bin/rails generate controller welcome index
    
  3. Then, add the Foundation 6 gem to your application's Gemfile as follows and run the bundle command afterwards:

    gem 'foundation-rails'
    
  4. Now, you can add Foundation to your Rails setup by simply running the following command...
