Summary


In this chapter, we discussed how the PrimeFaces showcase is useful for practical purposes in real-time theme development. We also learned how to build and run the showcase project, explored what we don’t like and applied the required changes, and explored what we do like and made everything look similar in the project. After making changes to the existing theme, we had a look at how to package a custom theme. Finally, we created CSS files to provide variations of the theme.

In the next chapter, we are going to discuss best practices in theme development as well as the various best practices that are categorized into common web design, rich internet applications and finally, PrimeFaces themes.
