Overview of this book

The TypeScript language, compiler, and open source development toolset brings JavaScript development up to the enterprise level. Sports News Combinator – Adding Features

In the previous chapter, we started on our first application, Sports News Combinator (SNC). We created a simple component to display a set of news articles on a page. We hardcoded our data and focused more on the basics of Angular and TypeScript. We covered types, type constructs, and type inference in TypeScript, and had a brief look at classes, Angular framework, and components.

The focus of the previous chapter was to get us off the ground and to look at some of the primary concepts. In this chapter, we are going to build on top of our application and look at some other features of TypeScript and Angular.
