Overview of this book

The TypeScript language, compiler, and open source development toolset brings JavaScript development up to the enterprise level. It allows you to use ES5, ES6, and ES7 JavaScript language features today, including classes, interfaces, generics, modules, and more. Adding features to Sample Trello app

Now, its time to integrate our learning into our Sample Trello application. In the previous chapter, we had implemented the following functionalities:

  • Homepage: We developed our homepage which would show all the available Boards
  • Board data: In the last chapter, we were fetching the data from a hardcoded method in our services file
  • Board: We created our board component which would encompass our Task and SubTask component
  • Task and SubTask component: These components were used to display the current task and subtask for a selected board
  • Hierarchical data communication: With Board, Task, and SubTask component we learned about how Angular provides the mechanism for communicating with child components using @Input and @Output decorators
