Azure Cloud as a deployment platform

In this chapter, we will use Microsoft Azure to deploy our Sample Trello application and in doing so will look at some of the features of Azure as a cloud platform.

In Azure, Microsoft has provided its cloud platform, which competes with Amazon's AWS and Google Cloud as one of the premier cloud services. Microsoft Azure provides a host of services under the cloud platform, ranging from virtual machines and web apps to the IoT and functional computing.

The cloud provides a platform to manage and handle all our deployment needs, for any type of application. Applications can be web apps or a database, or even authentication services using Active Directory. This vast variety of services enables the creation of a single unified window into all IT service management needs, providing tremendous benefits.
