Stage 3 – norming

At the norming stage, the team has developed a clearer understanding of how to operate. They begin to make progress and are now more comfortable with their process.

Individual team members will make an active effort to resolve any misunderstandings of how they work together. There will be more focus on the task of the team mission. Teams that reach this stage will have an increased acceptance of each other, recognizing the diversity of opinion among the group as being a strength.

Trust and respect will be increasingly evident. Team members will be much more comfortable in sharing their ideas. They will listen to understand each others' perspectives. They will also welcome both receiving and giving feedback.
