In this chapter, we built a web service with Laravel to make the Vuebnb listing data publicly accessible.
This involved setting up a database table using a migration and schema, then seeding the database with mock listing data. We then created a public interface for the web service using routes. This returned the mock data as a JSON payload, including links to our mock images.
In the next chapter, we'll introduce Webpack and the Laravel Mix build tool to set up a full-stack development environment. We'll migrate the Vuebnb prototype into the project, and refactor it to fit the new workflow.
