Introducing visual design principles and processes

I am really happy that you have made it this far in this book, and you have just arrived at one of the most important and interesting parts of the book when it comes to product design.

This chapter is added before wireframing and prototypes deliberately, because to create good wireframes, we first have to understand how the design itself works and not just how it looks.

We will start this chapter by covering the basic principles, such as the influence of size, color, and layout of our design on the users and product directly, and then it will be easier for us to see the pros and cons of creating wireframes, visual designs, and prototypes.

To help you understand this chapter better, we will divide it into two important parts: first, we will talk about the basic elements of visual design, and then we will move on to explain the design principles.
