Summary

In this chapter, you learned how to manage programs and certifications and how to apply them to a real-world scenario.

Programs allow you to create flexible collections of courses allotted with multiple dates, which are typical in onboarding scenarios. After covering program basics, you created your own program, added different types of content, and provided scheduling information. You then learned how to add users manually and in batch mode and then dealt with various reporting options. We also covered sharing content across tenants via programs.

Certifications are built on top of programs and add initial certification and recertification paths into the mix, which are compulsory for mandatory training. You became familiar with the foundations of certifications before you learned all the ins and outs of initial certification paths and recertification.
