Sharing Catalogs

In this section, you will decide which learners will have access to which catalog. Within the Captivate Prime administrator, this is called Sharing catalogs. Captivate Prime allows you to share catalogs either internally or externally:

  • Internal sharing means that you give access to your catalog to learners defined within your Prime account. These can be both internal and external learners. Remember that both of these types of learners are indeed defined within your Prime account, as discussed in Chapter 5, Managing Users.
  • External sharing means that your catalog is accessible to learners defined in other Captivate Prime accounts. This means that the learners (internal or external) defined in that external account (called the receiving account) are those who will ultimately be able to access your content.

Internal and external sharing has nothing to do with the concept of internal and external users, as described in Chapter 5, Managing Users. It&apos...
