When rolling out GitHub Copilot, people often think of just the engineers in the team – they are the folks creating new features by writing the code to be able to execute them. But with that stance, we forget all the other people in the team. As we said, on average, an engineer is lucky if they can focus on writing code for two hours a day. The rest of the time is spent on preparations, discussions, architectural work, documentation, and so on. Then there are always teams that spend most of their day in meetings, sometimes overlapping or in parallel during their day. Sometimes it can feel like meetings are considered more important than actual coding!
