Editing Joomla! Templates


Joomla! makes it rather easy to edit existing templates or to create your own.

Existing template parameters can be edited to suit your needs, as can the template's HTML and CSS using Joomla!'s own edit facility if you don't use an editor.

The CSS template editor is very useful as it gives you the ability to select and modify all the various style sheets that your site uses whether for printing out the pages of your site or adding certain style sheets to serve to other browsers or platforms like mobile devices, PDA's and so on.

This obviously gives you a great deal of control over your site's design and layout but also means that many accessibility issues can be easily avoided by using well designed accessible templates for all of the sites that you build with Joomla!.
