Time for action - adding a contact form to the website


Let's add a simple contact form to the Contact Us page and send the submitted content of the form to our e-mail address.

  1. 1. In the admin console, click on Extensions | Form Builder.

  2. 2. Click the Contact Form link.

  3. 3. Scroll down to Form Fields, and click the Send To link.

  4. 4. Replace the e-mail address in the fields "From address" for email and Destination Email Address with your real e-mail address, as shown in the following screenshot:

  1. 5. Click on Update to save the changes.

  2. 6. Click on Save below the form fields.

  3. 7. Copy the Smarty tag from the column Form Alias in the line Contact Form, as shown in the following screenshot:

  1. 8. Open the page Contact Us for editing (Content | Pages) and add the copied Smarty tag into it.

  2. 9. Click Apply and view the page. It should look as follows:

  3. 10. Fill out the form, and click Submit Form, you should get an e-mail sent from this contact form to the e-mail address given in step 4.
