Module Paypal Gateway


This module is used by the Orders module to checkout orders using PayPal Website Payments Standard mechanism. In other words, this module allows the order to be paid through the PayPal website. This payment option can be used either additionally to the manual e-mail-based invoicing delivered with the Orders module or as a substitute for manual processing.

Using this module the customer will be redirected to the PayPal website where the order and all payment details are displayed. He has to log in to his PayPal account to confirm the payment. After the payment is made, the PayPal will automatically redirect to your website.

There are several ways PayPal returns payment data to you after the payment is completed. The Paypal Gateway module supports two methods:

  • Payment Data Transfer (PDT)

  • Instant Payment Notification (IPN)
