Time for action - scheduling


Celtx offers "Just in Time" scheduling, meaning that we can work on our project right up to the time of scheduling for the shoot.

So, let's build a shooting schedule. Let's assume I wanted to film Portals myself instead of selling it to Hollywood for big bucks. I would need such a schedule. You guys can help. With the project open, we bring up the Add Item... dialog box just like we learned earlier in this chapter. Select Production Schedule from the list, as shown in the following screenshot:

Looking at the bottom part of the dialog box, we can use Name: to name our schedule, Folder: to place it in a subfolder, and Script: to associate it with our screenplay.

We can then customize as needed into shooting reports, which include lists of the actors, props, and costumes required for that scene. Call sheets also are generated, so that actors and crew know when and where to show up for the day's filming. The latter is very important since we want Celtx to track our...
