Chapter 8. Using Xerte and Audacity

Xerte enables rich interactive learning resources to be created quickly and seamlessly. Producing a resource involves creating a series of interlinked pages. Navigation is far more straightforward for those of you who were mystified by the lesson's branch tables and question pages.

The pages are packaged in a folder and can be uploaded as a ZIP file and a link to the index.htm file ensures that the learning resource will roll out. We have practised such skills in earlier chapters.

Why do I like Xerte? The materials produced have a professional finish that the developers of some commercial software would do well to replicate. There are also a series of accessibility options which make it useful for a whole range of students with different learning styles and needs.
