Creating multiple tabs for your admin module

As anyone who has used the CMS Made Simple News module knows, a module can have a large number of configuration and management options available to the site administrator. To minimize confusion for the site administrator, it is important to organize those options in a clean, orderly fashion.

By dividing the admin panel into multiple tabs, your module can selectively hide or reveal collections of forms or other controls. This allows your interface to be less cluttered, and (one hopes) less confusing.

This recipe shows you how to create multiple tabs in your module admin, and how to place content into them.

How to do it...

1. Using any of the methods described in Chapter 4, Getting Started with Modules create a new plugin type module stub for your Movie Collection module, and call it "Movies".
2. Using your favorite editor, add a HasAdmin() method to Movies.module.php that returns a Boolean value of "true".
