In the previous chapter, we had a quick look at the new jQuery Mobile framework in terms of aesthetics, improvements, and how well it performs against other libraries of the same type.
We are now slowly moving towards the point at which we start putting into practice what we've learned until now, and experiment with what we have at hand.
jQuery Mobile is a very flexible framework and, even though its cross-compatibility efforts may sound like some sort of limitation, you will be amazed by the number of different things you can do with jQuery Mobile.
But before we take off and start creating a simple mobile page, we must make sure a couple of things are clear in our minds.
In this chapter, we'll be dealing with:
Customizing default settings
Handling events
Working with methods and utilities
Using the theme framework
