Chapter 9. Online Orders and Payments

A common goal for many business websites is to integrate their website with their store, take reservations, and accept payments.

For example, a retail store may allow customers to browse their store inventory and then purchase items either for delivery or for pick-up at the store. A salon may allow patrons to view appointment times that are available, select a time for their appointment, and optionally pre-pay for their appointment online.

For the Artisan Bakers Collective site, we will do the following:

  • Allow customers to view online products in our case Breads for sale on the website

  • Select products that they want to purchase

  • Pay for the order online

  • After an order has been submitted, the order will be sent via an e-mail to the bakery staff so that they can begin preparation of the order.

  • The order will also be available for viewing online.
