I have mentioned at several points throughout this book that some aspects of marketing are more art than science. Internet marketing is a fickle mistress and perfection will always remain elusive. That is a good thing though as it is important to move with the times, to stay up to speed with new developments, techniques, technologies, media, and platforms.

More than that, however, it is important to continually assess your performance because this is what nurtures progress and learning. By always measuring the impact of what you have done, how the market reacted, and what unusual things went on, you will build up a body of understanding and experience that can then guide you in future endeavors. This in turn will mean you derive more advantage from the same amount of effort because you have a better understanding of what a particular niche wants and reacts well to.
