Start the Liferay Portal server if it is stopped.

Sign in to the Neighborhood portal using the admin credentials.

Now open the Control Panel by selecting Manage | Control Panel option from Dockbar.

Now from the Server section, click on the Server Administration link. The system will open the server admin portlet as shown in the following screenshot. By default, the Resources tab will be automatically selected.

Now, click on the Execute button just beside the Run the garbage collector to free up memory label.

The system will display the same screen with a success message and changed meter charts.

Now click on the Execute button just beside the Clear content cached by this VM label. The system will again display the same screen with a success message and changed meter charts.
