Creating a PhoneGap Mobile app using the Twenty Ten theme


In this section, we'll see how we can build a mobile app using the techniques we have learned in the previous chapters and apply them on an open source theme, the Twenty Ten theme.

Switching to the Twenty Ten theme

We need to switch to the Twenty Ten theme, using the following steps:

  1. Log in to your WordPress admin, and go to Appearance | Themes | Manage Themes.

  2. Select and activate the Twenty Ten theme.

  3. Once you have activated the theme, your WordPress website should look as follows:

Custom fields

If you are using a fresh installation of WordPress, make sure to create your required custom fields that you need before attempting to create a post via the JSON-API. If you have been following the book, your JSON-API plugin now supports custom fields, but only a few specific ones.

To check if you have certain custom fields follow these steps:
