In this section, we look at creating, altering, and dropping Replication/Publication Queue Maps.
We will show examples using the Replication Center and ASNCLP
commands.
The following screenshots show how to create a Replication Queue Map using the Replication Center.
1. From the Q Capture Schemas folder, navigate down through the Q Capture Schema (
ASN
in our example), right-click on the Replication Queue Maps folder, and click on Create.This takes us to the Create Replication Queue
Map
screen, as shown next.2. Fill out the required information in the General tab, namely the Q Apply server name and schema, the names of the Send, Receive, and Administration queues, and the name of the Replication Queue Map:
3. The Options tab allows us to change the values as shown. Of particular interest is the maximum message length value, and what option we want for handling errors:
Click on OK to generate the SQL script, and then we can decide whether to run the script...
