We can configure the settings in MDM for the following:
MDM Console
MDM server and auxiliary servers (MDIS, MDSS, MDLS)
MDM repositories
Backend database server
We will briefly learn about each of these in the following section.
These settings allow you to configure the look and feel of the MDM user interface and also define the list of mounted MDM servers saved in the MDM Console settings file.
The Console settings file is always saved as a .mcs file and can be loaded from the main menu or startup. See the section on the MDM Console settings file.
The graphical layout settings of the Console main window is found in the Windows registry in the path HKEY_CURRENT_USER>Software>SAP>MDM 7.1>Console. However, the registry settings should not be directly edited as any careless modification can cause irreversible damage.
