In this section, we will learn how to modify the MDM repository structure by adding, modifying, and deleting tables and fields.

Code Property
MDM objects within the repository such as tables, fields, expressions, validations, remote systems, workflows, ports, tuples, masks, named search, and image variants have a code property which can be defined with the following characters: alphabets (A-Z, a-z), numbers (0-9), and the underscore character. The code property is non-lingual and hence, can be used in a language-layer independent way to refer to MDM objects such as in MDM APIs, external contexts like folder name, within XMLs, and so on.
You can view the available properties of a table in the object details pane titled Table Detail. It is visible when you select the MDM repository in the hierarchy pane and then select the desired table in the top-right pane titled Tables.
