Preface

Master Data Syndication Server

The Master Data Syndication Server or MDSS is designed to automate syndication or export master data from MDM repositories to other SAP or non-SAP systems. It is programmed in such a way that the resource requirements, processing complexity, and data export errors due to manual user intervention are minimized.

On top of this, MDSS also allows you to delegate export tasks from systems running Syndicator to MDSS server machines thereby enhancing scalability.

MDSS provides the following key benefits:

  • Using the MDM Ports concept, MDSS takes care to keep the outbound port updated with the latest master data

  • Using the Map-based rules for the outbound port, MDSS performs automated master data syndication

  • Programmed Syndication helps you to configure the frequency of syndicated master data in the outbound port as per your requirements

In order to bring clarity between the Syndicator and the Master Data Syndication Server we list their strengths and weaknesses next.
