Creating a randomized question bank


When testing a group of students, it can be helpful to vary the questions between tests. This is a common way of fighting against cheating, whether by looking at the test of the person next to you or by working off a list of answers that someone else has prepared. Unfortunately, creating several versions of the same test creates a lot of extra work for the trainer, work that they really don't have time to do.

Quizmaker solves this problem by providing access to randomized questions. This is done out of a question bank, where x number of questions are selected out of the y number in the bank. In this way, each test is individualized while still keeping all the tests fair.

Getting ready

We're going to start with a blank graded quiz. So open Quizmaker and select Create a new quiz on the startup screen. In the New Quiz dialog box, select Graded Quiz and click on the OK button.
