Simple search is normally sufficient for most websites. But if you want to give your users more, check out the Indexed Search Engine front end. It not only allows you to use logical operators like AND/OR, but also gives you the option of searching through Word, PDF, and other types of documents.
Before you start, an important tip about something that is all too often forgotten: You also have to prepare the HTML template for the search. The search automatically includes the contents of<title>
, the description
and keywords
of both<meta>
tags and the content of the<body>
tag. There are two markers that let you define any parts that you want to index inside the<body>
tag:

Everything that is between these two markers is indexed. The rest of the code inside of the<body>
